Programmer day is a day that is celebrated after every 256 days in the whole world. This programmer day is happening internationally you can't think how much programmers in the present world. International programmers day is usually held on January 7, with the count of 256 days it also is popularly celebrated on September 13 but when there is any leap year then it is celebrated on September 12.

History of Programmers Day

International programmer day was launched in 2007 to honor the all programmers of the world and this day is celebrated in many countries and if you are from Russia then you know in Russia this is officially observed there cause in 2009 Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed for “Day of the Programmer” to be celebrated on the 256th day of the year, which is usually September 13, or on September 12 in leap years.

Many people observe International Programmers’ Day on the 256th day of the year because “256” (28) is the number of distinct values that can be represented with an 8-bit byte, and 256 is the highest power of 2 that is less than 365, the number of days in a year.
